Built around independent practice

Practice workflows for the people who provide care.

CanEHR brings a clinic calendar, client records, clinical notes and invoices together for Canadian mental-health professionals. Here is how the current workflow can support different kinds of practice.

01

For psychotherapists

Keep recurring appointments, session notes and follow-up work connected to the client chart. Use the schedule to organize individual or couple sessions, then prepare a draft and review it before signing.

Example workflow · Book a follow-up, review the previous signed note, prepare a new draft and complete the visit record.

02

For counsellors

Set up the services your practice actually offers, keep appointment lengths and fees clear, and let clients request appointments during the availability you publish. Use reminder workflows to reduce routine scheduling follow-up.

Example workflow · Publish an introductory session and a regular counselling appointment, each with its own duration and fee.

03

For psychologists

Organize appointments, client-linked notes and practice invoices in the same clinic workspace. CanEHR does not validate the licensing or scoring of assessment instruments; confirm measure permissions and scoring guidance independently before using them.

Example workflow · Keep visit documentation and billing status together while maintaining the clinic's own assessment and review procedures.

04

For social workers

Use clinic roles and assigned-client access to organize work within a small practice. Staff access is configured by the clinic owner; review each person's responsibilities and client assignments before sharing records.

Example workflow · Give a team member access to the areas they need, then assign clients through the clinic's staff settings.

For couples and family therapists

Schedule joint sessions and use the group relationship feature while retaining separate client charts. The current product does not provide participant-specific confidential subfiles or replace a therapist's consent and disclosure process; assess those limits before clinical use.

Example workflow · Link a joint appointment to the appropriate clients without treating separate records as one shared chart.
